10 students from AWPL's "Introduction to Wood Materials, Products and Manufacturing" and "Furniture Design" courses went on a field trip to Hickory, NC to tour several Hickory Springs manufacturing plants. Pictured above is the bouncing group shot at the HS foam plant. The students also toured the HS spring plant and webbing plant. The Hickory Furniture Mart hosted the students for lunch and a tour of the retail facility.

In addition to the tour of Hickory Springs, the students participated in the annual Wood Usage Survey sponsored by the Appalachian Hardwood Mfg Assoc. at the High Point Market. After the survey, the group was given an in depth tour of the Maria Yee showroom pictured above.
