The projects shown on this page are the result of the student competition "The New Oak: The Big Idea". All of the pieces were built primarily of red oak donated to the students by the competition. The pieces were judged for 1. Originality of design, 2. Emphasis on the beauty of oak, and 3. Ability to manufacture. Cash prizes were given to the top 3 students.
