This 5 foot tall beech bookshelf highlights the contrast of color and form between the slab and the organic forms. The shelves and back panels are solid beech wood, and the vine shelf supports are solid poplar. The vines were machined on a 3 axis CNC router and stained with a black dye for contrast.

This piece received 3rd Place in the RTA category in the 2008 IWF Design Emphasis Furniture Competition.
